The Wellington Dukes are proud to announce advancement from the 2023-24 season as Panayioti Efraimidis has confirmed his commitment to NCAA Division III St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota for the 2024-25 season.
Efraimidis was signed early in the season after spending the 2022-23 season playing in the NCDC between the Boston Jr. Bruins and Jersey Hitmen. “Pana” had a big impact on the Dukes offense registering 14 goals, 30 assists for 44 points in 42 games for the Dukes, which was 4th in team scoring. When reached for comment on his commitment, Efraimidis noted his teammates played a big role in getting him to this point. “I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by teammates that have not only supported me but have been a source of inspiration on many levels during my 3 years of Junior hockey. I could not have asked for a better and welcoming community like Wellington. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers, supporting staff and my billet family who made Wellington feel like a second home.”
Dukes General Manager Todd Diminie spoke highly of Efraimidis when reached for comment on his commitment to St. Olaf College “We were really happy to have Pana as one of our veteran players last season. Pana was very popular with his teammates and Dukes fans in the community. We wish Pana all the best moving forward and look forward to watching him to continue to develop with St. Olaf at the next level.”
Efraimidis becomes the 6th member of the 2023-24 Dukes team to secure a college commitment for the 2024-25 season. The Wellington Dukes are proud to continue to be a leader in advancing players to the next level.
