The Wellington Dukes won their second road game of the season with a hard fought 5 to 4 shootout battle over the Whitby Fury Sunday afternoon. The Dukes had three powerplay markers by Erick Delaurentis, Andrew Coupland and Spencer Turcotte while 3rd Star Trevor Cope had an even strength goal, his first as a Duke, an assist and a shootout tally. Luc Brown also scored in the shootout and picked up an assist as well. Other helpers went to Jacob Panetta, Mike Soucier, Cody Gratton and Coupland. Picking up his third win of the season was Lucas Machalski facing 39 shots as well as being perfect in the shootout.
Wellington will make their lone visit to Hamilton on Thursday to play the Red Wings starting at 7:30 PM.
