DUKES COMPLETE COMEBACK WITH 3 to 2 WIN OVER JR CANADIENS

Trailing 2 to 0 the Dukes came all the way back to take a 3 to 2 win over the Toronto Jr Canadiens.  The visitors opened the scoring in the first period with a short handed goal and then doubled their lead with an even strength marker.  However, with  41 seconds left in the opening frame 2nd Star of the Game Joe McKeown gave the Dukes some life with assists going to 1st Star of the Game and Hardest Working Player of the Game Abbott Girduckis and Kyle Paat.

No scoring in the middle period and then with just under 4 minutes left in regulation Girduckis tied the game up at two unassisted.  It looked like the game was heading to overtime when Girduckis scored the game winner with only 43 seconds left in the frame with helpers going to McKeown and Erick Delaurentis.  Spencer Turcotte was named Defensive Player of the Game while Tyson Teichmann picked up the win in net facing 32 shots.

The Dukes will travel to Stouffville on Saturday to play the Spirit for their final regular season meeting between the two clubs starting at 7:00 PM.
