Another road win has been banked by the Wellington Dukes.

Edward Moskowitz scored twice, and Jacob Osborne made 34 saves to lead the Dukes in their 3-1 besting of the Pickering Panthers on Tuesday afternoon.

Moskowitz’s first came on a one-timer with a man up just over three minutes into the contest, being set up by David Campbell and Julien Jacob.

Eli Pilosof answered shortly after on a redirection past Osborne to even the score and give the defending Buckland Cup OJHL champions some more energy.

After that, Osborne shut the door on the Panthers, with many of his 34 stops being tough ones.

His best save was on a two-on-one off Hayden Simpson later in the opening frame.

Connor Hunt jammed in a powerplay marker midway through the second frame from Campbell and Ethan Sullivan to put the Dukes in the lead to stay.

The eventual game-winner at 9:13 was the Madoc native’s 12th of the season.

Wellington added some insurance when Moskowitz deposited a short pass from former Panther Luke Lapalm past a scrambling Andrew Ballantyne in the Pickering crease at 9:18 of the third.

Creo Solomon chipped in the second assist to help the Dukes finish off the scoring.

The Dukes edged Pickering in shots 36-35 to earn their 22nd victory of the season and 12th on the road.

Wellington does not have a home game Friday, but the team will play at 3 p.m. at Lehigh Arena against the Lindsay Muskies in the CHCH Game of the Week.
