St. Michael’s Buzzers @ Wellington Dukes 7:30 p.m. @ Heidelberg Materials Arena
Tee-Up
It’s been a quiet week on the game front, but lots of time to get healed and fine-tuned in practice following a tough 6-2 loss in Trenton last Friday for the undermanned Dukes.
Wellington stayed close through about two-and-a-half periods in a penalty-laden game, but the Golden Hawks found a way to break free with three unanswered goals in the back half of the third to claim Round 1 of the Battle of Quinte.
Tonight, the Dukes will return home after two weeks away to meet the St. Michael’s Buzzers for the first of four times this season.
A historic franchise with an always competitive roster coached by OJHL veteran Rich Ricci, the Dukes will look to try and get back on winning terms against them with a few tough tests ahead.
