The Wellington Dukes of the OJHL are pleased to announce Mike Soucier as September Player of the Month. The Dukes won 7 of their 9 games in the month with just two of them being played at home to move into first place in the East Division. The 18 year old forward led the team with 13 points including 6 goals as well as the shootout winner in the teams 4 to 3 win at the Cobourg Cougars on September 30th. He had at least one point in all but one game and picked up eight points on the power play.
After playing midget hockey with the AAA Mississauga Rebels the Caledon, Ontario native joined the Dukes last season and recorded 22 points in 46 games and was named to the OJHL 2nd All-Prospect Team. He is NCAA committed to Bemidji State University.
