It was not the night the Wellington Dukes were looking for on Tuesday night.

Tyler Hodges turned away all 35 Dukes tries on goal to fuel the Haliburton County Huskies to a 4-0 blanking of the Dukes at Lehigh Arena.

The Huskies took control of the game early with goals from their fourth line, with Chase Del Colombo scoring 3:37 into the contest and Ryan Gosse adding onto it later in the first frame.

Wellington had a few decent pushes in the second, but Hodges never broke down, keeping the Huskies above grade.

Kieran Litterick put one home 30 seconds into the third, and Isaac Larmand added one more for good measure, banking a shot off Dukes goalie Jacob Brown’s back and in.

Despite Wellington’s offence flaming out, Brown was still solid in stopping 29 of 33 Haliburton shots on goal.

The Dukes will have a few days of rest prior to a Saturday afternoon trip down the 401 to Cobourg.

That game starts at 3:30 p.m.
