DUKES BLANK HURRICANES 4 to 0

Erick Delaurentis opened the scoring in the first period with what turned out to be the game winning goal. Second Star and Hardest Working Player of the Game Steven Deeg also scored in the opening frame and then added a second tally in the final period. Luc Brown chipped in with an empty netter to complete the scoring. Third Star Trevor Cope had a pair of assists with other helpers going to Jacob Panetta, Mike Soucier, newly acquired Alex Carnevale, Brown and Delaurentis.

First Star and Defensive Player of the Game Tyson Teichmann picked up his first shutout stopping all 32 shots. His 2.26 GAA is now 3rd best in the league while his .933 save percentage is second best.

The Dukes have now been able to pick up at least a point in 9 of their last 10 games and will prepare to host the Oakville Blades this Sunday with a 7:00 PM puck drop.
