The Wellington Dukes have secured another ex-Caledonia Corvairs defenceman for the 2023-24 OJHL season.
Colin Smith is the latest blueliner to sign with the club after his GOJHL teammate from last year William Whelton was inked by the Dukes earlier in the week.
The steady 19-year-old rearguard from Etobicoke, Ont., near Toronto, spent 30 games with Caledonia last season, registering four points, before contributing an assist in 13 games with the Pelham Panthers.
He suited up in four postseason games with Pelham.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Dukes family and being able to contribute to the upcoming season,” Smith stated.
Smith joins Whelton, returnee JH Lages, and Logan Goodwin as four defencemen who have been announced as signed by the team.
