| January 15, 2012 « Back « Previous Next » |
The Dukes and Fury have met four times so far this season and every game has ended in a one goal decision with three of them requiring overtime. Cam Yuill opened the scoring in the first period breaking out of a 15 game slump. The Fury tied it before the period ended and took a 2 to 1 lead in the middle frame. With less then 10 minutes to go in regulation, Jan Kaminsky tied it up and then in overtime Yuill scored his second of the game to clinch the win. Defensemen continued to chip in on the offense as David Pratt had a pair of assists with single helpers going to Kyllian Kirkwood and Kevin Swales. Also picking up an assist was Josh Gervais. Jared Lockhurst, playing his second game as a Duke, picked up his second win facing 33 shots and being named third star of the game. The Dukes have now won 3 consecutive games, all on the road, and visit Peterborough on Tuesday to take on the Stars with a 7:00 PM puck drop. |
